The SEN Youth Mental Health and Positive Development Online Seminar was successfully held on the evening of April 20, 2022. We are delighted that more than 100 people participated in this seminar, mainly parents, teachers, social workers and

Psychiatrist Dr. May Lam used a professional perspective and interesting cases as examples to explain the importance of youth mental health, especially how parents should deal with the problems encountered by SEN teenagers during adolescence. Bonnie, an expert in special education, told her personal story of the growth of Isaac, her son with ADHD and dyslexia. Bonnie shared useful method on raising teenagers with SEN during her talk, which was touching and beneficial to all parents.

In the final Q&A session, the guest speakers communicated with the participants and shared their experiences. The two-hour Seminar went pass quickly, and the number of participants remained at a high level, proving that everyone was enjoying it.

This lecture is a successful start. Learning Bridge Association will continue to hold various types of activities, so that SEN youth as their families can have more opportunities to explore, learn and grow. We look forward to working together to build a more inclusive society.
